Hewn is the community for people who write fan fiction for obscure movies, or movies that have never been really en vogue with the writing crowd. We mainly focus on slash and femslash, but all genres and pairings are allowed.

You will not find Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings here. You will find Enigma, Toy Soldiers, The Chronicles of Narnia and other fandoms that are so strange, but are just so write. Er, right.

So, come in and write, or discuss these fandoms with us!

hewn (hyUn)
v.
1. A past participle of hew.

hew (hyU)
v. hewed, hewn, (hyn) or hewed hew·ing, hews
v. tr.
1. To make or shape with or as if with an ax: hew a path through the underbrush.
2. To cut down with an ax; fell: hew an oak.
3. To strike or cut; cleave.

v. intr.
1. To cut something by repeated blows, as of an ax.
2. To adhere or conform strictly; hold: hew to the line.

The rules are simple:

1. Slash, femslash, and het are allowed. Everything you can think of is allowed. Just don't flame someone if you don't like what they've written or that is being discussed.

2. Authors may post fan fiction in any fandom that they please, so long as it is a) obscure, b) unpopular, or c) simply doesn't have anything written for it.

3. Please, don't join just to advertise your community. If you are a member and you have created a community especially for a fandom which has fan fiction posted here, it is reccomended that you post: because people will want to hear about it!

4. Fan art is also allowed.

5. Place all long--more than 200 words--fiction behind the lj-cut tag. And all fan art--unless providing a link--behind an lj-cut also.

6. Every type of fiction, complete, incomplete, short story, epic novel, drabble, poetry, etc is allowed.
